Babes of the Lord
When it comes to understanding God, people are babes who know nothing.
A babe may be born of a woman, born of church, or born of God.
Born of a woman
When a babe is born of a woman, it goes through these stages:
- Flesh — needs affection and comfort; hears, eats, feels
- Eyes — sees, wants, grabs; puts everything in mouth; pokes eyes and ears
- Learning — "terrible twos"; tests its own power; tests its parents' power
Born of church
When a babe is born of church, the church comforts it and tells it to smile and be happy, see delightful sights, hear wonderful things, feel good, and feel powerful.
The church also tells the babe (1 day old to 120 years old), "God loves you, forgives you, and empowers you" and "you're a born-again Christian" and "give us your flesh, your fortune, and power."
Churches think God's Spirit is in their midst — as they steal the inheritance from babes.
Born of God
When a babe is born of God, it is "born again" of the Spirit.
God's Spirit gives water and light to the Scriptures.
If the Scriptures are dry, unclear, or remain unread, the babe doesn't have the Spirit of God.
